Sortables does not work in IE (1.2.1 Release) LIVE DEMO BROKEN
Reported by Sencerd | August 20th, 2008 @ 11:06 AM | in 1.3.0
Look at the sortables demos in Firefox, they work as expected, now look at them in IE6/7, there are so many issues, the bullet point disappears, the numbers get mixed up, all sorts.
So I have a sortable list of divs, with cloning and opacity, in firefox it works fine, in IE the cloned element does not stay in the correct position under the mouse, and when dragging upwards it always snaps to the top, instead of where the mouse is.

Sortables are completely broken in IE7. My biggest problem is you can drag down, but you can't drag up.
How did this get released if the demo doesn't even work? http://demos.mootools.net/Sortables

Why isn't this being addressed for 1.2.2, surely if it's important enough to have a demo then it's important enough to work cross browser?

After a bit of playing I worked out the problem is caused by having position:relative on the lists parent element, removing that attribute makes the sortable function as expected, this is a problem I have encountered in other parts of mootools, getPosition seems to break when you are using position:relative in IE

Since it isn't being addressed in 1.2.2, maybe you should change the following text on the demo page: http://demos.mootools.net/Sortables
Back in the 90s you sorted items in a list with arrows... and it worked. In the 00's you could drag items and pretend it works.

Hi, that sortables bug was caused by wrong positioning in mootools. I have well tested fix, so wait to 1.2.2 version.
