Fix To Scrolling With OverText

Reported by Kenton | September 24th, 2009 @ 10:56 PM

One of my biggest complaints about OverText is when you have an element with an overflow:scroll the OverText loses its mind and you have to manually reposition the OverText. So I found a quick fix for that: simply wrap the absolute div in a relative position div. Then the field will stay relative to its parent during scrolling and the reposition function will still properly place it. I have tried a few different test cases without any issues and have been using it in production for about a month without any problems.

Let me know if you have any problems or questions, I'd love to see this patch on trunk!

Actually, I implemented your fix and while it's nice, but this is a different behavior than what is there and it can upset some css layouts (as you're throwing a block level div in the page). There's a new option (wrap) that does this for you if you enable it).
