no easy date ordering in a different language (Locale.*.Date does not provide HtmlTable.Parsers regex for date )

Reported by Thomas Allmer | March 4th, 2011 @ 04:06 PM | in 1.4.0.1 (closed)

If you wish to use the HtmlTable.Sort functionality on a date in a different language you have to include the Locale for it AND define the regex for the date by yourself...

it looks something like this:

Locale.use('de-DE');
HtmlTable.Parsers.date.match = /^\d{2}[-. ]\d{2}[-. ]\d{2,4}$/;
var myTable = new HtmlTable($$('table')[0], {
'sortable': true });

Why not define the regex for the date parser also in the language? This way you would only have to set the proper language and sorting of a date would work... I mean you already have the dateOrder and shortDate there so it's just a little more info :)

What do you think?
