Fx.Slide problem in fluid layout

Reported by Adriano72 | June 5th, 2008 @ 10:20 AM | in 2.0 (closed)

Hi all, I'm Adriano from Rome, Italy (ciao Valerio!!)

I have a two columns layout (the right div has a float:right style) and I wanto to slide the two columns (should become three in the future) sliding in one while the other slides out, a kinda od a "curtains" effect. The problem is that Mootools Slide adds a div that wraps the column that have to slide so I loose the "float" style property and, while my columns slides nicely in and out, the columns go stacked one over the other instead of staying in their place.

Is there a way to overcome this problem?

thanks in advance

p.s. valerio, complimenti per il tuo splendido lavoro...

check out the docs. You can define a wrapper element manually and float that element instead.

A common pattern is to add a "div.content" inside your floated or absolutely positioned element. Then you set the outside as the wrapper and the inside as the element to slide.

If the docs don't mention this then it may be a documentation bug.
