tween and units

Reported by mark | August 24th, 2008 @ 07:00 PM | in 2.0 (closed)

This problem arose from daKmoR's issues with tweening with 'em' units, but it could potentially occur with other units as well (not tested).

Example illustrating the problem: http://mathbin.net/test.html Click "tween it". It should tween from its current height 5em to 10em. Instead, it reads its current height from the browser in px - let's say 80px - then tweens from 80em to 10em.

That is, it reads the current value, ignores the units of the current value, and assumes that current value is in the units of this.options.unit. You can see this occurring in Fx.Tween.set on the line that reads: this.render(this.element, property, now, this.options.unit);

(line 2436 of http://mathbin.net/test.js)

Hope this helps. Let me know if this is not clear, or if you need further information or testing.

Thanks, - mark
