Object element malfunctions in IE6

Reported by DarkPilgrim | November 30th, 2008 @ 03:10 AM | in 1.3.0 rc2 (closed)

General element methods cannot be applied to Object element(like embeded flash video) in IE6, which give rise to not-support errors. I creat this ticket as soon as I found this. No more thorough test was taken.

    object and embed tags can not be extended in IE, and are skipped by $ for extending. I think the generic element methods work on objects/embeds though: Element.get(someObjectElement, 'tag');

    Can we have a note in the docs, regarding to this? My friend and I just spent 2 hours trying to figure out why .destroy() doesn't work.

    I was pretty sure we had a note in the Element docs, but somehow it was removed from there and it's now only in Swiff:

    Where is a good place to put this information? In the notes of $ and $$?
