Asset Timestamping

Reported by tvr | January 16th, 2009 @ 08:50 PM

We utilize this concept in our application but through different mechanisms. I've included a link to a blog that explains the benefit of this better than I could (their site was down last I checked, you might need to find it in google cache).

var script = new Element('script', {
 'src': source + '?' + new Date().getTime(), //replace with file 'last modified' timestamp
 'type': 'text/javascript'

    This is not something I believe we intend to support, I'm afraid. It's down to the developer implementing if they wish to use http headers or whatever to manage caching.
