Asset onload

Reported by Ryan Mitchell | January 17th, 2009 @ 01:47 AM

I'm sure you've come across this, but I couldn't find a ticket for it, so thought I would start one.

When you use Asset to load an image or javascript or css in Safari, the onload event doesnt fire if the image/document is already in the cache... Which obviously means any load events you add to the Asset are useless...

You can get round it by adding a random string to the end of the filename (ie file.css?randomstring), but that forces reload, which isnt ideal... surely an onload event can be fired even if its in the cache?

I think other browsers do the same thing, but I cant remember which. FIrefox works as you would expect.
