Support for more CSS3 pseudo-selectors

Reported by Ronald | June 23rd, 2009 @ 11:02 PM | in 1.3.0 rc2 (closed)

In MooTools 1.2.3 only a subset of all CSS3 pseudo-selectors are supported. Looking at the reference on SitePoint (http://reference.sitepoint.com/css/css3psuedoclasses) there are a lot more (even useful ones).

For example, using the :nth-of-type would be very useful with definition lists (dl) that contain multiple definition terms (dt) and/or definition descriptions (dd).

I've attached a working example of a custom :nth-of-type pseudo-selector (based on :nth-child). Complete with custom :even-of-type and :odd-of-type that work like :even and :odd.

I understand that some will be used rarely, but I reckon those could be added to MooTools More.

I've read that MooTools will have more supported selectors, like :root. Will :nth-of-type also be supported?
