Request.JSON receives response, event fails to fire

Reported by Milos Dakic | September 16th, 2009 @ 04:38 AM | in 1.3.0 rc2 (closed)

I've been having heaps of trouble trying to work this one out. I have a standard Request.JSON call where I'm waiting for the server to respond, although at times this is quick, other times the server returns a response but the Request.JSON class doesn't fire any events. I have implemented all the events from the Request class to try and figure out if the class is failing at some other event, but it doesn't look like it.

The response from the server is the expected result set, but after receiving the response the JavaScript doesn't do anything with the data.

The most likely cause of this behaviour is that the JSON you are returning is invalid. You can check your response is valid using JSONlint: http://www.jsonlint.com/.

I'm afraid I'm going to mark this issue as invalid - purely because it's almost certainly the above that is the cause - but if you are certain it is still an issue, if you can provide an example using mooshell (http://mootools.net/shell) then we will look into it.

Lastly apologies for not replying to your issue sooner.
