Request.HTML error

Reported by Daniel Grosso | December 29th, 2009 @ 01:35 PM

I tried the Request.HTML demo in Firefox 3.5.6 with Mootools 1.2.4 and it seems to work fine, but if I turn on firebug finds an error while parsing the received HTML.

1) Download Request.HTML demo:
2) Download Mootools 1.2.4:
3) Rename mootools-1.2.4-core-yc.js to mootools.js
4) Replace the file mootools.js included in the demo with the new one.
5) Enable Firebug 1.4.5
6) Load the demo

I've tried to do the same follow your instructions, but I get no error!

    I use Firebug 1.4.5 on Mac OS X 10.6

I updated the post with the instructions to do exactly what I do.
The only difference with you is that I'm under Ubuntu 9.10, but it shouldn't matter.

FF 3.5.6/FB 1.4.5 on Windows XP = no such problem.

Does your local HTTPD add a footer to outgoing responses, anything like that?

Is it possible that you have Break on All Errors turned on in Firebug?
If so, it may be that the error is raised in a try/catch block. Look further in ticket #154

    • State changed from “new” to “invalid”
    • Assigned user set to “fakedarren”
    • Milestone cleared.

Going to mark as invalid I'm afraid. If you can recreate in MooShell, we'll investigate.
