FX.Move error in IE7: object expected

Reported by brus | January 5th, 2010 @ 04:33 PM

Hi all,

I downloaded mootools-1.2.4-core-nc.js and mootools-

I included in the "MORE" section download just the FX.MOVE feature.

It works fine with FF and chrome, but it does not work with IE7, as it shows the error message "object expected"

The code is quite simple: I'm trying to move the following div:

Using the code:

new Fx.Move($('setPositionTarget')).start();

As I said, it works fine with other browsers.

Thanks in advance for any help.

    • Milestone cleared.
    • State changed from “new” to “open”
    • Assigned user set to “fakedarren”

    Can you provide an example in mooshell (

    Also just to check - have you wrapped your code in a domready event - this is a common reason why this would happen in IE and not other browsers - I just have to check this before I investigate further.

    Hi Darren,

    as you supposed, I forgot to include the code inside the domready event.

    Thanks for your hint :-)
